Tron founder Justin Sun bought the Joker-style collectible token BAYCT # 6666 for 150,000,000 TRX ($ 15 million).
BAYCT # 6666 is part of Bored Ape Yacht Club’s popular 10,000 NFT collection that was released on the Tron network this year and sold out in less than 72 hours.
NFT BAYCT # 6666 is the most expensive NFT acquisition on Tron to date. Previously, the first position was taken by Tpunk # 3442, which Justin Sun bought in August this year for $ 10.5 million. Both NFTs, based on the DC Comics Joker films, were used by the Tron founder as avatars for his Twitter page.
Justifying the acquisition, Justin Sun tweeted that “NFT avatar art is a new artistic showcase for our generation.” Carolina Matusso, Marketing Director of BAYCTron, noted:
