Many large mining pools have been hit by a sharp drop in hash rates caused by DNS issues. Mass failures did not affect the EMCD pool.

EMCD, the largest mining pool in Eastern Europe and a software company for the production and circulation of cryptoassets, has effectively withstood the massive disruptions caused by DNS problems that most other market participants faced in the past week. Thanks to a well-designed infrastructure, the EMCD pool has shown no downtime, while some other mining giants have had connection failures and are still fixing issues.

On November 26, 2021, there were massive connection errors with leading mining pools including Poolin, F2pool, Binance pool, ViaBTC and others, resulting in the inability of miners to access platforms around the world. Connectivity issues were caused by maintenance services from Alibaba Cloud, China’s largest cloud provider. As a consequence, mining pools that used AliDNS cloud infrastructure suffered from a sharp drop in hash rates and an inability to provide uninterrupted service to their users.

EMCD has established itself as a reliable mining pool since 2017, providing high quality services to its customers around the world. At the forefront of the mining ecosystem, EMCD has decided to support miners who have suffered from connectivity issues. When you connect to the EMCD pool with the promo code “EMCDworks” upon registration, you will receive a 30% discount on commission for the first three months of service. With this promo code, mining fees will be as low as 1.05%.

EMCD CEO and Founder Michael Jerlis highlighted the important role of infrastructure in the cryptocurrency industry:

“From the early days of our mining pool, the reliability of the services provided is our top priority. It is much more effective to anticipate an incident than to eliminate its consequences later. We strive to look two steps ahead when developing our products, because every minute of downtime can lead to financial losses for our customers. “

EMCD currently supports mining of seven cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, ETC, as well as DOGE and LTC combined mining. Low fees and no minimum entry threshold make EMCD mining available to everyone, regardless of the hardware used. In addition, users can contact support in Russian 24/7 and join the largest community of miners in the CIS.
